After analyzing the news, it is seen that both newspapers practice ideological production. The news of femicide presented in the newspapers legitimize social gender inequality. Sabah newspaper presents the news of femicides with their magazinish and sensational aspects. Cumhuriyet newspaper tried to be critical in some of its news. However, they could not get out of making ideological productions. Media is one of the most important sources of information. Therefore, readers get some of their ideas about femicide from the news. However, the newspapers' presentations of femicide are being problematic. In the news, the act of killing a woman was justified and the woman was portrayed as guilty. In this way, Cumhuriyet and Sabah newspapers prioritize the interests of male dominance. It has been observed that femicides are not presented as a social problem in the newspapers. In conclusion, it is determined that news are presented as stories and patriachy is being reproduced.
