Abstract (EN)
Boron and heavy metal pollution in water in rich boron areas in Turkey ( Kütahya -Emet - Hisarcık) has been investigated. Heavy metal (Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni, Cr, Co, Pb, Zn, Al) concentrations that threaten human and environment health haven't been found. But boron concentrations have been determined to be over acceptable levels. Long term use of the water taken from the sources from Emet - Hisarcık boron mine basin is very important for chronic boron toxic. In this study, boron and heavy metal concentrations in water have been investigated with ICP - OES spectrometer. Key Words: Boron, water, ICP - OES
