On the relationship between theory of proximity point and fractals

This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which covers the inspiration for the thesis and some background information on fixed-point theory, best proximity point theory, and other related topics. The second chapter provides a literature review on the thesis topic. The third chapter presents the basic definitions and theorems necessary for this thesis. The fourth chapter constitutes the main part of the thesis. Here, some results that form the basis of the relationship between best proximity point theory and fractals are examined in detail. The original results of our thesis are also presented in this chapter, and a new relationship between best proximity point theory and fractals is established using α-ψ-contraction mappings. The final chapter of our thesis consists of our conclusions and recommendations
