Abstract (EN)
Increasing industrialization in Turkey and in the world leads to unwanted explosions and as a result of the explosions, the loss of life and property is gaining more importance. In the literature study for the prevention of explosions, it was seen that there is not much information about the field application of theoretical data, especially in Turkish sources. For this reason, businesses operating in two different sectors were chosen as good practice examples to support theoretical knowledge. As a result of the study, the basic principle for the protection of people from the harmful effects of explosive atmospheres is to prevent the formation of an explosive atmosphere, where it is not possible, to eliminate ignition sources and to reduce the effects of the latest explosion.
