Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to determine the problems. requests and suggestions of the people living in the Beyşehir Lake basin; to reveal the needs and deficiencies and then to create a basin planning. This study covers the Beyşehir Lake Basin, which is located within the Konya Closed Basin. It has been tried to consider the wishes of the people living in the basin themselves rather than a basin planning in the form of administrative savings within the framework of the physical characteristics of the basin and the existing problems in the basin. Considering the social and economic conditions of the people living in the basin; It is aimed to take into consideration the requests and suggestions in the basin planning. In this study, the current and potential situation of the Beyşehir Lake Basin was evaluated by acting with the holistic evaluation principle, which represents the most important of the watershed management principles, and solutions were offered in the light of the findings. Factors such as the slope of the basin. elevation classes. land use, aspect groups, land capability class, erosion status were determined using ArcGIS 10.2. Some natural problems and social-economic problems were determined as a result of the meetings attended by the residents living in the basin. As a result of this study, by carrying out Ask-Fix-Solution analyzes; Problems such as migration problem, inadequacy of agricultural activities, lack of pasture area for livestock activities, lack and neglect of irrigation water and irrigation infrastructure, lack of infrastructure of village roads, soil losses due to lack of erosion structures are the most obvious problems. The unconscious use of natural resources also poses a threat to the sustainable use of the basin. Sustainable planning is required in the Beyşehir Lake basin. As a result, water resources and other natural resources (soil. vegetation. etc.) at the basin scale should be managed holistically, with ecological principles and in cooperation with the participants.
