The tendency to choose colors in works of art in early childhood (Muş province sample)

The aim of this study is to determine the color preferences and the number of different colors used in pre-school education and primary school 1st grade children's art activities and visual arts lesson applications. In the study, the free painting work and mandala work of the students examined in terms of various variables among students who were in pre-school education between the age of 48-66 months and students who were in first grade of primary school at age 72 months and above .The universe of the research consists of students aged 48-66 months in pre-school education and students aged over 72 months in first grade of primary school education in Muş Province, Merkez District and schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. A total of 100 students, 50 boys and 50 girls, between 48-66 months, will be chosen by simple random sampling method among eight pre-schools and a total of 100 students, consisting of 50 boys and 50 girls, who are 72 months and over will be chosen by simple random sampling method among first grade of primary schools connected to the Ministry of National Education in Muş Province, the sampling group of 200 students in total. Implementation In the academic year of 2017-2018, Muş Province was carried out in eight pre-schools and eight first grades in the primary school, which are thought to represent the universe in the central district. When all the pictures of the students in the preschool are examined, it is determined that the first four colors they use the most are green, blue, red and yellow. When all the pictures of the students in the first grade were examined, it was determined that the first four colors they used the most were red, blue, green and yellow.
