Abstract (EN)
After the decision to relocate the Armenians, the Ottoman Empire took a number of measures in order to ensure that the migration could be carried out easily and to prevent the Armenians who would be relocated from encountering any problems. The relocation of Armenians, the issue of security, providing food and health, and finally the prevention of ill-treatment during the immigration were the subjects of importance by the Ottoman Empire. Ottoman Empire took many precautions on these issues. The authorities also took measures to protect the Armenian women and children. The government also carefully recorded the immovable properties of the Armenians that were relocated. In spite of all the measures taken by the government, there were some problems and the authorities were very careful to sentence and give the necessary punishments to those who disobey the orders or abused the Armenians.
