Abstract (EN)
Epigenetic characters observed in ancient Anatolian societies play an important role inelucidating the degree of affinity or kinship of populations. The occurrence and frequency of nonmetric characters observed in populations may vary according to periods and biological, cultural, gender differences of communities. In the studies of this field, nonmetric characterson cranium and teeth have been examined.much more than nonmetric characters observed in postcranial skeleton. In this thesis study, nonmetric characters of cranium and postcranium related to ancient Anatolian people has been compiled and nonmetric characters observed in Anatolian populations from Paleolithic to the present day have been investigated. Epigenetic character data of populations that lived in different geographicenvironments in different periods in Anatolia has been compared with each other both periodicallyand regionally. In this way, the similarities and differences of these communities have been endeavored to be revealed.
