Interactive data visualization and an example

The technological age in which we live has made it much easier to access information. However, people under information and data bombardment need resources where they can perceive information more easily. The visual design of information and data increases the perception of the information people need. Data visualization is the visualization of a large amount of data and understandably to make it easily perceptible. Visualization of processed data is performed by designers, and this work is called data visualization design. Today, data visualization is widely used in the world. In our country, it is still not widely used, with examples multiplying in recent years. Data visualization, along with interacting with many areas, visualizing and designing data concerns the graphic field. According to the working environments, static, motion and interactive data visualizations are used. In this study, what data visualization is, for what purposes, and after its history, interactive data visualizations are emphasized. Interactive data visualization examples are examined in the context of web design. As an application example, interactive data visualization designs were prepared for International IMMIB Erkan Avcı Vocational Technical Anatolian High School. The purpose of preparing this application study is to provide easy perceptibility to the complex data of the school, which has a large number of students, thanks to interactive data visualizations. Thanks to these interactive data visualizations, all data can be easily accessed and interacted with from the school's web page. The survey method, one of the quantitative research techniques, was used to compile opinions about the application. Keywords: Data Visualization, Interactive Data Visualization, Web Design
