Abstract (EN)

This study is conducted in aim of investigating correlation of 2d : 4d finger ratio of children in 11-13 age group who sport in different branches with sportive performance. 37 female and 57 male ,in total 94, sporters in ages of 11-13 who work out regularly and from different branches (football, volleyball, basketball, athletics, swimming) attended to the study voluntarily. It was implemented the tests of ages, length, weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, length of 2nd and 4th fingers of right and left, vertical capriole, doing shuttle and push-ups in 30 sec., strengths of dorsal, leg and claw, elasticity, sprint in 20 m., agility, shuttle run in 20 m., balance and anaerbic strengths to subjects attended to this study. It was carried out independent t-test in comparison of double groups. It was used Pearson correlation to control relation between variables. It is assessed that average of age is 11.79 ± 0.41 years, body weight is 41.77 ± 9.81 kg., average of length is 151.52 ± 8.87 cm, average of body mass index is 18.01 ± 3.00 kg/m2, average of body fat percentage is 12.82 % ± 4.03, 2D:4D average of right hand 1.00 ± 0.03, 2D:4D average of left hand is 1.00 ± 0.03, average of vertical capriole is 28.68 ± 5.37 cm, average of shuttle in 30 sec is 23.93 ± 4.56 times, average of push-ups is 19.12 ± 7.03 times, average of right hand clutch strength is 19.32 ± 4.48 kg, average of left hand clutch strength is 17.98 ± 4.23 kg, strength of dorsal average is 53.51 ± 11.25 kg, average of leg strength is 50.54 ± 10.73 kg, average of elasticity is 16.88 ± 6.56 cm, of sprint in 20 m. is 3.55 ± 0.31 sec., average of agility is 17.97 ± 1.38 sec, average of maxVO2 is 42.38 ± 7.31 ml/kg/min, average of balance is 1.89 ± 0.79 point, average of anaerobic strength is 217.24 ± 65.72 W. It is not identified that any remarkable statistical difference in right and left hands 2D:4D ratios in terms of genders (p>0.05). When it is examined the correlation of 2D:4D finder length ratios with sportive performance parameters, any statistical remarkable relation is not observed (p>0.05). Consequently, it is possible to state that ratios of 2D:4D finger length is not determanitive in terms of sportive performance and it is not related with performance parameters in 11-13 age group female and male sporters.
