Abstract (EN)
Technical textiles, one of the fastest growing areas of the textile industry, are used in many fields such as medicine, transportation, packaging, protective clothing, agriculture, construction, sports equipment, geotextiles and industry. Filtration textiles, which are included in the scope of technical textiles, are used in every sector today. Filter structures are produced with different production methods (woven, knitted, non-woven surface). The filter structures obtained by the textile production method have a very wide usage area. Filtration is defined as the process of separating particles of certain sizes from a fluid by using filter structures and increasing the purity of the fluid. Within the scope of the thesis, the effects of fiber type and fabric structure, which are basic production parameters, on woven filter performance were examined. For this purpose, woven filter fabrics were produced by using different monofilament yarns (polypropylene, poliester, polyamide) and different construction structures (plain, twill, ribs and panama). Performance tests were carried out in order to examine the efficiency of the woven filter fabrics produced. Within the scope of the thesis, it is aimed to establish an important knowledge for the production of high-performance filters for the mining industry by demonstrating the relationships between basic fabric parameters and woven filter efficiency. As a result of the analyzes of the filter fabrics, the parameters that increase the filtration performance were determined and it is aimed to guide the researchers and manufacturers about the progress of scientific studies on this subject.
