Abstract (EN)
Lentils are among the most produced and consumed edible legumes in our country and the world. The Southeastern Anatolia region meets more than 90% of the red lentil production in Turkey. It is known that significant yield and quality losses occur depending on the ecological adaptation of the lentil varieties and sowing norm. This study was conducted in Siirt University, agricultural production land of Faculty of Agriculture in the 2019-2020 growing season according to completely randomized factorial design with four replications. The four different row spacing (15, 20, 25 and 30 cm) and three lentil varieties (Çağıl, Fırat-87 and Tigris) were used in the study. Emergence time, flowering time, pod filling time, maturation time, plant height, number of plants per square meter, first pod height, number of primary branches, number of secondary branches, number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod, number of seeds per plant, seed yield, biological yield, 1000-grain weight and harvest index were investigated. According to the results, properties in all but number of primary branches were found to be statistically significant. Depending on the application, emergence time, flowering time, pod filling time, maturation period, number of plants per square meter, plant height, height of first pod, number of secondary branches, number of pods per plant, number of grains per plant, number of grains per pod, biological yield, grain yield, 1000-grain weight and harvest index varied between 23.25-34.25 day, 146.5-156.75 day, 156.0-165.25 days, 165.25 176.5-182.60 day, 236.25-285.50, 32.87-41.93 cm, 16.90-28.60 cm, 2.43-4.85, 35.75-59.50, 38.50-68.50, 1.08-1.15, 435.40-755.00 kg/da, 127.73-210.10 kg/da, 26.95-38.03 g and %21.68-32.58, respectively. The highest grain yield was obtained in the Tigris variety with 190.22 kg/da and at 30 cm spacing row with 193.11 kg/da. However, differences between 30 cm and 25 cm row distance in terms of grain yield was not significant. As a result, it is recommended to use Tigris lentil cultivar with 30 cm row distance in terms of early harvest and higher grain yield in winter lentil cultivation in Siirt ecological conditions.
