Abstract (EN)
In our study, we aim to evaluate the child's pain at the postoperative 2nd hour by the child, parent and nurse by using two different pain scales, the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). It was aimed to determine the difference or compatibility of the child's postoperative pain assessment after surgical procedures of different surgical sizes with two different pain scores, the parent and the nurse, which of the nurse or parent will evaluate more closely to the child, and to investigate the effect of 2 different pain scores on these factors. We think that a scoring system that allows pain assessment to be more compatible with the child can be used for effective pain treatment in cases where the child cannot score himself. Therefore, another aim of this study is to emphasize that pain management is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon and to offer suggestions regarding the factors that should be taken into account in optimal pain management.
