Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of an 8-week fascial mobilization program on flexibility, vertical jump, standing long jump, sprint and anaerobic power parameters in elite and non-elite taekwondo players. In this study, 32 licensed taekwondo players who actively continuing taekwondo training are participated voluntarily. Two different groups were formed as fascial mobilization and control groups in the study. Fascial mobilization group (n=16), avarege age (x̄year=18,06), avarege body weight (x̄weight=60,6), avarege height (x̄height=172,06), and control group (n=16), avarege age (x̄age=18), avarege body weight (x̄kg=61,5), avarege height (x̄height=170,68). After the groups were determined by randomization, the fascial mobilization group underwent fascial release technique for 40 minutes at most twice a week for eight weeks. For statistical analysis of the data, changes in some physical fitness parameters were examined as a result of 8-week fascial mobilization. In this context, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test was used to compare the pre-test and post-test results of the fascial mobilization and control groups between the groups, while Mann-Withney U test was used to compare between the groups. The statistical significance level of our study was accepted as p<0.05. According to the findings obtained as a result of the study, it was determined that there were statistically significant differences in flexibility, speed, vertical jump, long jump with standing and anaerobic power measured in the fascial mobilization group (p<0.05). When balance was analyzed, it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference (p>0.05). When the measured parameters in the control group, which continued taekwondo training and did not receive any intervention, were examined, it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference in any parameter.
