Abstract (EN)

In this study titled "According to The Feminist Theory, Woman in Anatolian Minstrel Style Poetry Tradition" minstrel poetry was analyzed in the context of Feminist Standpoint Theory and Gender Theory, on the other hand tried to reveal the position, role and perception of women in Turkish society. Our study consists of two main parts. The first chapter provides information about what feminism is, how it came about and types of feminism. The emergence and development of feminism in Turkey have been described. Also, briefly women in the historical process in Turkey and the world, has been given place to a variety of cultures and historical adventure of women in the three monotheistic religions. Feminist theory and literary criticism that constitute the method of the thesis is explained what the theory is, what it aims, what it does. In the second section, which is titled "The reflection of Female Gender in the context of Feminist theory on the Minstrel Style Poetry" and which forms the main part of the study, ten sub-titles of poetry texts formed around the main topics and concepts of feminist theory were examined in the light of the data obtained from the poems. These titles are: Patriarchy, Honor, Marriage, Motherhood, Verbal and Physical Violence, Sexuality, Environment, Love, Republic Period and Women in the Period of Social Change and Women in Work Life. As a result, based on the Anatolian Minstrel Style Poetry Tradition, the woman's position in the eyes of the society was tried to be revealed by making a profile of the Turkish woman from the past to the present.
