The relationship between critical thinking tendencies and emotional intelligence questionnaire of science and technology teachers?

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between science and tecnology teachers? critical thinking skills tendencies and their emotional intelligence levels.During the study survey approach was followed and the subjects (n =130) of this study, were the science and tecnology teachers of Gaziantep city in the 2010-2011 academic year. Research datums were collected by ?Personal Information Form?, was used to identify personal characteristics, ?California Critical Thinking Tendencies Inventory? was used to consider critical thinking tendency, `Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire? was used to consider emotinal intelligence level of the science and tecnology teachers?.The results of the study can be summarized as follows. The relationship between the science and technology teachers? tendencies in the subscales of critical thinking tendencies inventory and emotional intelligence questionnaire is concerned, a significant relationship was observed at 0.01 levels. However, it is observed that the relationship was positive, low and at intermediate level.
