The determination of high school administrators' leadership profiles with fiedlers LPC scale

The purpose of this research is to determine stanbul?s Sisli, Bayrampasa, Gaziosmanpasa, Fatih ve Kagıthane High School Administrator?s leadership styles and the convenience of the environment according to Fiedlers scales. For determining of their leadership styles; Fiedlers LPC Scale (Least Preffered co-worker), for determining convenience of the environment of their job; LMRS (Leader-Member Relationship Scale), TSS (Task Structure Scale) and PPS (Position Power Scale) has been employed. For each administrator the point of the conditions? convenience has been found by adding the points of LMRS (Leader- Member Relationship Scale), TSS (Task Stuructual Scale) and PPS (Position Power Scale) Both vocational and general high school managers has been included in the research and at the end of research it has been understood that there is good situation for the managers. It has been seen that, whereas general highschool managers adopt ?Human Centered Leadership? style, vocational school managers adopt ?Task Centered Leadership? style. This study has been divided into six sections, in the first section, some explanations were given about the purpose of the survey, hypothesis and problems. In second and third sections, some basic knowledge which was in the structure of literature, about the theories of leadership was given. In the fourth section, the method was explained and Fiedler?s method was given in detail. In the fifth section , comments were made about the obtained results and in the sixth section results, suggestions and recommendations took place..
