Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the similarities and differences between conventional financial market risk management and Islamic finance. The scope of the thesis is to identify the key principles of risk management in financial markets system. The method used in this study is a comparative analysis of the principles and practices of risk management in conventional finance and Islamic finance. The study draws on a range of sources, including academic literature, industry reports, and case studies of risk management. The main of this thesis is that there are significant differences between conventional financial market risk management and Islamic finance. The conventional approach is based on the use of derivatives and other financial instruments to manage risk, while Islamic finance relies on a system of ethical principles and risk sharing. The implications of these differences for risk management in Islamic finance are significant, as they require a different approach to risk assessment and mitigation. The findings of this study have important implications for practitioners and policymakers in the field of Islamic finance. The study highlights the need for a greater understanding of the principles of risk management in Islamic finance, and the development of new risk management tools and techniques that are compatible with these principles. Overall, the study contributes to a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of risk management in Islamic finance and provides a foundation for future research in this area.
