Evaluation of the financial performance of football clubs: Aresearch on the football clubs operating in Borsa İstanbul (BİST)

The main aim of this study is to evaluate the financial performance of the football clubs operating in Borsa Istanbul between the terms 2009:1 to 2014:1 via the ratio analyse. On this purpose, a qualitative research hase been made. According to the collected data and the analyses , it has been seen that the football clubs subjected to the research may encounter problems at fulfilling their financial liabilities. It has been observed that they can not use their financial assets effectively and failed to create profit. In addition, it has been determined that the mentioned football clubs are under the risk of bankruptcy. Keywords: Sport Clubs, Financial Performance, Ratio Analyse
