The resolution of disputes arising from football contracts by arbitration

This thesis examines the resolution of disputes arising from football contracts, football management, activities regarding football and football discipline by arbitration. Articles and other works written on football arbitration as of today have not discussed the issue of arbitration in disputes arising from football as a whole but have only focused on certain aspects of the subject. However, the wide use of compulsory arbitration and voluntary arbitration has revealed the need to examine every aspect of arbitration related to football disputes in one single work. Moreover, the awards given by the foreign arbitration institutes regarding the Turkish footballers, trainers and clubs created a matter of debate in public opinion. Therefore, these awards and their enforcement reveal the need for a comprehensive legal analysis.
