Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation, foam rollers and intermittent pneumatic compression recovery methods on isokinetic strength, anaerobic power, speed, agility, vertical jump and range of motion after futsal match simulation protocol. A true experimental research design with control group pretest-posttest design was used. Forty-six female futsal/football athletes participated in the study and after the pre-tests were taken, the participants were divided into 4 groups by randomized assignment; control group (n:12), neuromuscular electrical stimulation group (n:10), foam roller group (n:12) and intermittent pneumatic compression group (n:12). After the futsal match simulation protocol was applied, recovery methods were applied and performance tests were performed again after 60 minutes of rest. Repeated measures 2-way ANOVA test was used to evaluate the difference between the groups and Post Hoc test was performed to determine which groups the difference was between. A significant difference was found in the vertical jump (Foam Roller Group, Intermittent Pneumatic Compression Group, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation Group), right and left knee joint range of motion (Foam Roller Group), anaerobic power (Control Group) parameters of the athletes according to time (p<0.05). A significant difference was found in the 20 m sprint test (Control Group, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation Group and Intermittent Pneumatic Compression Group), while the other parameters did not differ significantly. While there was no significant difference in agility and isokinetic strength parameters according to time and groups, the Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation Group performed better than the other groups in terms of percentage. As a result of the study, it was determined that different recovery methods had positive effects on some performance parameters (anaerobic power, sprint, vertical jump, range of motion) in futsal athletes. It can be said that neuromuscular electrical stimulation and intermittent pneumatic compression methods contribute more to the performance parameters and can be used to optimize the performance of athletes during intense match periods.
