Critical textual publishment and content analysis of Gânîm el-Bağdâdî's book of el-vasit fi şerhi tehzîbi'lmantik"

Logic is the science which protects the mind from the mistakes of the activity of thinking and shows the methods and rules of true thinking. Islam philosophers defines the logic as the science which helps to derive the unknown from the known and an important instrument which constitutes an important position in the methodologies of all other sciences. Therefore, logic has a special place in the studies of Islam philosophers. In this sense, the "logic" chapter of Taftazanî's book "Tehzîbu'l-mantık ve'l-Kelâm" constitutes a higher importance as this work is considered to be one of the fundamental sources used as base for the logic studies. There are also various commentaries and footnotes written about this book in several resources. One of this commentaries belongs to Gânîm el-Bağdâdî (d. H.1030). This study focuses on the examination of this book which we consider to have a special place in terms of Tehzîbü'l-mantık's being understood properly and it consists of three parts as his life and his works, a summary of the content of the text and examination of the text.
