The image of child in Ghassan Kanafani stories

Ghassan Kanafani is a writer who was born in Akka in 1836, lived in exile after the disaster in 1948, and never stopped writing until he was killed by Israel at the age of 36. In this study, the image of children in the stories of Ghassan Kanafani, a Palestinian writer, journalist and activist, one of the leading names of Modern Arabic Literature, was examined. The study consists of an introduction and two parts. In the introduction, the subject, purpose and importance of the research, the sources used in the study and the research method, as well as the life of Ghassan Kanafani, his literary personality and his position in Arab-Palestinian storytelling are included. In the first chapter, the definition of image is discussed within the conceptual framework and its types are mentioned. In the second part, the author's child-themed stories are presented in terms of subject and summary, and it was examined how the child was imagined in the context of this stories.
