The text-research of Gaziantep legends

The aim of this study is to determine, gather and to analise the legends that have been being told for ages in Gazi Antep and which are the oral cultural products of people. The legends included in this thesis were gathered from the center of Gazi Antep, from its districts and villages and were taken from the written sources. There are 101 legends in our thesis and it is also included the studies of the legends' motives. The motives in the legends were determined and summarized. In this thesis the quality of the other previous studies and gatherings on the legends in Gazi Antep were also emphasized.
