The specialities of traditional Urfa golden woman ornaments, its place in our culture and the views of the producers

The main aim this research is to analyze the situation of the golden woman ornaments produced in Şanlıurfa city centre, certificate the found pieces, examine the views of the producers and prepare a scientific document on the persons who are interested in these jewelries.In this research, as a data collection technique an interview with questions form has preceded and aimed at the producers, golden ornaments, production method and to the persons who want to learn this job. An information form has been prepared in the area about the golden ornaments. In the purpose of the researcher a literature scanning has been made about the proceeding time of the Turkish Jewelries and analyzing the situation of the golden woman ornaments which are produced in Şanlıurfa city. To make the theoretical structure a trip has been made to that area and the resources were scanned about the traditional ornaments. The works which were done before about this subject were reviewed.In this performance the specialties of the golden woman ornaments produced in Şanlıurfa city centre has been analyzed. The importance of the Ornaments, their history and the specialties of the products and traditional jewelries were be defined by the new designed ornaments. Additionally to this fact the traditional golden woman ornaments were photographed and specialties are given in the information forms which are prepared.An interview form has been preceded to the master?s producers of the golden woman ornaments in Şanlıurfa city centre, by this the results were evaluated and the working conditions, health problems and the specialties of the ornaments and the Demographical specialties of the masters has been identified.Key words: Şanlıurfa, Ornament, Traditional Ornaments, Golden Ornaments, Needlework Techniques.
