According to our knowledge, no research has been done which is a study of the combination of variables and it is aimed to fill the literature gap in this respect. 300 students attending Haliç University and Istanbul Kültür University participated in the sample of the research in 2016-2017 academic year. The people have been selected randomly. Young adult university students participating in the survey was applied to "Relationship Scale Survey" to determine attachment styles, "Barratt's Survey of Impulsivity" to state impulsivity levels and "Yale Food Addiction Scale" to diagnose food addiction. SPSS for Windows 22,0 program has been chosen as the tool to reach the findings of the research. The descriptive statistical percent and number methods are used in the evaluation process. The descriptive statistical percent and number methods are used in the evaluation process. One-way ANOVA test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between two independent groups and the t-test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between two independent groups. Pearson correlation analysis was performed among the continuous variables of the study. Forward Stepwise Logistic regression analysis was applied to determine the factor affecting food addiction which is the main factor in the study. Significant results of the study found that an important part of young adult university students have food addiction (%21,7). There was no significant relationship between food addiction and gender. It has been found that obsessive attachment style (which is a sub-dimension type of attachment style) are more common in individuals with food addiction. It has been found that motor impulsivity and total impulsivity scores are higher in individuals with food addiction.
