Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the effect of fatigue that occurs after multiple direction changing, multiple sprinting and vertical jumping activities in basketball on shooting accuracy. The research was conducted with the participation of 40 female basketball players (20 athletes at the age of 15, 20 athletes at the age of 16). After the anthropometric measurements of the athletes were made, this study, which was conducted in the form of a first test and a final test, was first conducted on a basketball–specific shot test. A shot test was performed with 2 shots from 5 zones (left corner, left forward, center, right forward, right corner) around the three-point shooting line in basketball, with a total of 10 shots. After the result obtained, the direction change test was applied on the second test day, the sprint test on the third day and the vertical jump test on the last day. After each of the tests, the basketball-specific shot test was repeated. The effect of physical performance tests on shooting performance was examined by looking at the perceived degree of difficulty and fatigue index. Totally, 40 female basketball players with an average age of 15.5±0.5, a body height of 177±0.6 cm, a body weight of 63.89±7.65 kg and a body mass index of 20.35±1.86 athletes participated. The results of this study showed that there was no significant difference between the first 2 and the last 2 trials after multiple sprint and multiple agility tests. In the multiple vertical jump test, a significant difference was found at the level of 0.01 between the first 2 trials and the last 2 trials with 3.68%. A 7.48 percent decrease in three point jump shoot was observed after the multiple agility test, a 3 percent decrease was observed after the multiple split test and a 1.64% decrease was observed after the multiple vertical jump test. Only the multiple agility tests had a low effect on the shot hit rate. In this study, a significant fatigue was observed after the multiple jump test, while the 3-points jump shoot accuracy decreased significantly after the multiple agility test. It should be noted that the shot accuracy may be reduced following a challenge that requires repeated agility skills and vertical jumps as the main component of the 3-point jump shooting.
