Investigation of the effect of job satisfaction of the employees of the youth and sports provincial directorate on performance (example of Elazig province)

The main purpose of this study is to determine how is affected of job satisfaction performance of workers of Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. The study was planned to be performed based on the perceptions of 700 personnel working in various branches in Elazig Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate. The sample of this study consists of 248 personnel working in different fields of work in Elazig Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate. The study of the performance effect of job satisfaction was investigated using the quantitative research method. Questionnaire forms will be used to collect data from the sample group. In this study, it is aimed to measure the job satisfaction levels of the personnel working in different fields of work in the Elazig Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate and to determine whether their job satisfaction changes according to demographic characteristics. For this purpose, the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale was adapted and used which is generally accepted and widely used on job satisfaction, for the study. The Employee Performance Scale using by Sigler and Pearson was used to measure employee performance in the survey. In this context, SPSS package program and AMOS package program were used. Data were analysed using with quantitative data analysis The analysis of quantitative data was done with positivist (interpretive) paradigms. The effects of descriptive characteristics of employees on job satisfaction and performance were investigated. Job satisfaction levels of the employees and the effect of job satisfaction on performance were investigated. As a result, there is a 28% positive relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance in the study. It has been observed that job satisfaction increases performance by 7.8%.
