Abstract (EN)

Tomatoes are one of the most produced vegetables in the world. When we look at the data in tomato production in Turkey, there is an increase from year to year. This study was carried out to investigate the effect of different shadings on plants and fruits in the production of industrial tomato varieties in Cigir village, İdil district of Sirnak province. The experiment was set up with 3 replications. The tomato variety used is Kamenta F1 industrial type tomato and the shadings are control, 40%, 55%, 75%, 95%. Shadings were used 30 days after planting the seedlings in the experiment. Tomato row spacing is 120 cm and row spacing is 50 cm. In plant and fruit; fruit number, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit thickness, fruit firmness, plant nutrient content in green parts, total phenolic and flavonoid content, leaf temperature, total yield, chlorophyll (SPAD), BRİX (water-soluble dry matter) and pH measurement and analysis has been made. When the results were examined, leaf temperature, total yield, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit thickness, fruit firmness, leaf proportional water content of the control application were found to be significantly different from other applications. In addition, BRİX (water-soluble dry matter) in shading applications differed statistically from the control. The best results were determined as K, Ca and BRİX in the leaves in the applications that were shaded according to the control application. According to the results of the analysis, it has been determined that 55% shading affects the total yield and quality positively when used in industrial tomato cultivation in Sirnak/ İdil climate conditions.
