Abstract (EN)

While the relationship between women and nature is examined, the patriarchal structure is criticized within the scope of the research. The impact of the exploitation order caused by industrialization and capitalism on women and nature is addressed by associating it with ceramic material. Feminism and ecofeminism movements that have developed against exploitation have been studied in the context of the subject. Ecofeminism draws attention to problems arising from the relationship between sex discrimination and the destruction of nature. The movement suggests that the cause of women and ecological problems is the patriarchal structure of society. The reflections of the violence and oppression that women are subjected to due to the physical and bilological differences between men and women show themselves in feminism and environmental art movements. In the change in the way women's images are treated throughout art history, traces of the transition to the matriarchal order are addressed. Within the scope of the research, the interest in figurative art, the artists who intertwined the female body and animal forms were examined. Figurative ceramic forms that shape personal art practice are based on the perception of animals, women and nature as a whole. A plastic language highlighting the nature of clay was sought in the ceramic sculptures made within the scope of the report.
