The relationship between love, life satisfaction, marriage expectation and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs in argument and love marriages

The main purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between love life satisfaction, marriage expectation and satisfaction of basic psychological needs in arranged and love marriages. Accordingly, Marriage Expectation Scale, Basic Psychological Satisfaction Scale, and Love Life Satisfaction Scale were applied to a total of 419 participants. As a result of the survey application, according to the results of the analysis, love satisfaction, marriage expectation, satisfaction of the need for autonomy, prevention of the need for autonomy, satisfaction of the need for relationality, prevention of the need for relatedness, satisfaction of the need for competence, and inhibition of the need for competence do not show any statistically significant difference according to age. Love satisfaction, expectation of marriage, satisfaction of autonomy need, prevention of autonomy need, satisfaction of relatedness need, prevention of relatedness need, satisfaction of competence need, inhibition of competence need do not differ statistically according to gender. Love satisfaction and marriage expectation show statistically significant differences according to marital status. According to the average scores, the scores of the betrothed are higher than the others. Satisfaction of the need for autonomy, inhibition of the need for autonomy, satisfaction of the need for relationality, prevention of the need for relatedness, satisfaction of the need for competence, and prevention of the need for competence do not show statistically significant differences according to marital status. Satisfaction with love differs statistically significantly according to the type of union. According to the average scores, the scores of those who have a love marriage are higher than the others. Marriage expectation, satisfaction of the need for autonomy, prevention of the need for autonomy, satisfaction of the need for relationality, prevention of the need for relationality, satisfaction of the need for competence, and prevention of the need for competence do not differ significantly according to the type of union. Inhibition of the need for relationality shows statistically significant differences according to education level. According to the average scores, the scores of primary school graduates are higher than the others. Inhibition of the need for proficiency shows statistically significant differences according to educational status. Satisfaction with love, expectation of marriage, satisfaction of the need for autonomy, prevention of the need for autonomy, satisfaction of the need for relationality, satisfaction of the need for competence do not show statistically significant differences according to educational status.
