Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to compare the short-term effects of Graston Technique and Foam Roller application on hamstring muscle flexibility. 60 healthy male individuals participated in study. The general average of active knee extraction values before the application is 54,17°, after the application it is 66,17° and after the application the average of change is 12,00°. Before the application the average of askling h test is 61,08 VAS (0-100) and after the application it is 37,92 VAS (0-100) and the average of the change is -23,17 VAS (0-100). Graston and Foam Roller application found so effective on hamstring muscle flexibility (P<0,05). But according to the results of analysis there is no meaningful difference between the Graston and Foam Roller groups in terms of age, BMI, active knee extension test change after application, askling h test after application, active knee extension test change values and askling h test change values (P>0,05). For both application it can be used as myofascial release technique, it can be used for pre-performance and post-performance recovery. There is no meaningful difference beetween them in terms of impact. Foam Roller application may be more practical as there will not be need someone else's application. Keywords : Flexibility; Hamstring; Graston; Foam Roller; Myofascial release
