Abstract (EN)
This study analyzes masculine language and the interrelationship of madness, laughter, and disgust built on it. The image forms in grotesque art are represented as excessively exaggerated, humorous, masculine, discrediting and ridiculing, destructive and harsh. This paper examines the political aspect of grotesque narration in art in the context of correlation with folk culture and social transformation. In this study, it is also discussed how both humor and violence approach the concepts of insanity, laughter, and disgust. This form of expression has a conflicting language in itself. Moreover, this narrative has been seen as an anarchist attitude throughout history, since it contains incongruous and disturbing negligent elements. In the grotesque narration, it can be understood that madness, laughter, and disgust have aberrant relationships with each other. The basis of these relationships is beyond social moral-ethical boundaries. These concepts are represented as an origin of all kinds of extreme discourses in terms of grotesque narrative. Since it shows the inadmissibility, tension between conflict and relativity. This conflict discredits the sacred, the sublime, and the absolute. These narrative forms are highly related to the moral and intellectual conflicts of society. Therefore, it affects more severely. In this thesis, the concepts of madness, laughter, and disgust are examined in an intellectual context. In the light of the criticism of works of art from the past to the present, a personal opinion has been formed about the paintings, sculptures, and installations related to the subject. In my personal narratives, while describing grotesque forms; metaphoric, allegorical, ironic humor, and satire elements come into prominence.
