Abstract (EN)
Aladağ Valley, which is the study area, is located in the north of the Middle Taurus mountain range in the south of Turkey within the borders of Hadim district. The northern border of the county is Bozkır and Güneysınır; Taşkent, Sarıveliler and Alanya form the southern border. It is adjacent to Karaman province in the east and Gündoğmuş district in the west. The Geyik Mountains are located in the west of the district and have the highest height with 2.588 meters. The most important hydrographic line showing flow in the field is the Göksu River. The aim of this study is to examine the geomorphological features of the Aladağ Valley between Gülpınar and Bademli and to evaluate the geomorphology of the area by associating it with physical geography features such as geology, climate, vegetation, hydrography and soil. Studying geomorphology for the first time for the research area makes the study important in terms of gaining knowledge on a local and regional scale. There are formations especially of karst geomorphology in the area. Aladağ Valley is an area located in the Taurus Karst Belt where soluble limestones formed in different geological periods are concentrated. Karst forms such as lapias, caves and travertines have developed in places that have suitable conditions for karstification in terms of geology, climate and vegetation. This study area, where karstic formations are intense and their currentity continues, is important in terms of determining the erosion and deposition patterns and determining their distribution. For this purpose, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and UA (Remote Sensing) programs were used in mapping the data of the field. The karst formation seen within the boundaries of the research area is classified as covered karst, free karst and transitional karst. Keywords: Hadim, Geomorphology, Karstic Shapes
