The determination of quality characters of some legumes forage crops collected in natural areas of Southeastern Anatolia region of Turkey

The aim of this study is to determine quality characters of some Medicago, Trifolium and Vicia species collected in natural lands of Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. Obtained results were ranged from lowest to highest for Crude Protein values respectively; 13.53 - 23.34 %, 12.25 ? 24.09 %, 16.72 - 25.06 %; Dry matter values 12.1 - 32.4 %, 10.78 - 52.21 %, 12.69 - 30.43 %; Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) values 30.01 - 37.60 %, 22.99 - 40.99 %, 25.10 - 34.71 %; Acid Detergent Protein (ADP) values 0.62 - 0.91 %, 0.59 - 1.11 %, 0.51-1.28 %; Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF) values 38.96 - 49.77 %, 35.00 - 52.10%, 36.30 - 43.22 %; Digestible Dry Matter (DDM) values 59.61 - 65.52 %, 58.39 - 70.99 %, 61.86 - 69.35 %; Dry Matter Intake (DMI) values 2.41 - 3.08 %, 2.30 - 3.43 %, 2.78 - 3.31 %; Relative Feed Values (RFV) values 111.41 - 156.31 %, 101.30 - 188.57 %, 133.14 - 175.77 %; Phosphor (P) values 0.29 - 0.41 %, 0.28 - 0.42 %, 0.33 - 0.51 %; Kalium (K) values 1.76 - 2.55 %, 1.31 - 3.57 %, 1.54 - 3.82 %; Calcium (Ca) values 1.09 - 1.61 %, 1.14 - 1.48 %, 0.78 - 1.63 % and Magnesium (Mg) values 0.22 - 0.33 %, 0.26 - 0.36 %, 0.24 - 0.36%.
