The impact on the psychopathologies and personality traits of creativities of university students in the field of fine arts

This study aimed to investige the impact of pschopathology and personality traits of creativity on a group of volunteer university students in the fiels of Fine Arts. The findings of the study were analyzed using SPSS Windows 22.0 program. T test, Anova test and Chi square test were used.Post Hoc Tukey test is used as complement to determine the relationship differences between the variables after the Anova test, the relationship of the correlation with continuous variables is studyied with the Pearson Correlation and Regression analysis. The research has been carried out on the basis of a total of 200 students studying in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes of Işık University and Fine Arts faculties of Pamukkale University from 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years.The application was made with the scales which were developed by the researcher's "sociodemographic information form" for pschopathological assesment "Brief Symptom Inventory" to determine the level of creativity "Randsepp, The Scale of how creative are you" to determine the personality traits and" Ten Items of Personality Scale". There was a positive relationship between creativity and anxiety, depression, negative self, somatization and hostility in the correlation analysis ,whereas there was also a positive relationship between creativity and depression, anxiety and somatization in the regression analysis. It was found out, there was a positive relationship between creativity and the state of being open to new experience in the analysis, while there was a negative relationship between creativity and emotional balance.As a result of the Anova and chi-square analyzes,there was a significant relationship between the creativity and subscales of socio-demographic variables, the city where a large part of his or her life is spent, the educational level of the parents, the economic level, the artistic tendency of the family, the fields of education, other artistic areas of interest, and visual and written publications.In the regression analysis of creativity and socio demographic variables, the education of parents,the artistic tendency of the family and the educational field is predicting the creativity, whereas in the regression analysis on creativity and psychopathological dimensions, personality traits and socio-demographic variables, the education of parents, and the educational field ,and the follow-up of the visual and written publications is predicting the creativity.
