Hanifism in hadiths

In the name of Allah, the merciful and forgiving Many studies have been done about prophet Abraham, one of the most important representatives of monotheism; about his life, his struggle, his prophecy etc. However we have not found any research that presents hadiths about Hanîfism regularly and explains these hadiths. Therefore we chosed such a research. Our research consists of an introduction and two parts. The subject, purpose, methods and sources of our research are discussed in the introduction part. In the first part, the life of this great personality, the origin of word "Hanîf", the brief history of the Hanîfism religion attributed to prophet Abraham and the verses in which this notion is mentioned in the Quran are included. In the second part, hadiths in which the notion of Hanîfism is mentioned and the personalities described as Hanifs in the pre-Islamic period especially basic hadith sources which are included in reliable hadith sourses, are discussed and some explanation and commentaries are given about these hadiths. In the conclusion part, our research was completed by making overall assesment.
