Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to examine the leadership tendencies and motivation levels towards sports of master instructors working in public education centers and to determine the relationship between these two variables. The population of the study consisted of master instructors working in the field of sports in public education centers in Osmaniye province during the 2023-2024 academic year, while the sample consisted of 216 master instructors who voluntarily participated in the thesis study. G*Power analysis was performed to determine the adequacy of the sample group, and it was found to be statistically sufficient. Data were collected using the Motivation in Sports Scale and the Multidimensional Leadership Orientations Scale. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using descriptive statistics, non-parametric hypothesis tests (Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H test), and correlation analyses (Spearman's Rank Difference Correlation Coefficient). According to the research findings, positive and significant relationships were found between the leadership tendencies of master instructors and the dimensions of intrinsic motivation, integrated regulation, and identified regulation (p<0.05). Furthermore, it was determined that individuals with high leadership levels showed significant increases in both intrinsic and internalized motivation types (p<0.05). In conclusion, it was found that the leadership characteristics of master instructors have an impact on motivation levels, and this increases training efficiency.
