Abstract (EN)

In recent years, numerous methodological approaches have been developed to facilitate the comprehension and interpretation of Classical Turkish literature texts. Among these, contextual indexing and functional dictionary studies stand out. Lexicographical work in Turkey began to gain prominence in the 19th century. These studies have laid the groundwork for textual analyses that explore the historical trajectory of the Turkish language and the meanings words have acquired over time in various dimensions. The "Contextual Index and Functional Dictionary of Historical and Literary Texts Project," also known as the TEBDİZ system, has significantly contributed to textual scholarship by employing this method. A contextual index alphabetically lists the words used by a poet, indicating their occurrences and frequency within the text. Such an arrangement clarifies the contexts in which each word is employed. The functional dictionary emerges as the final product of this process, assigning meaning to words based on their syntactic and semantic relationships with other words in sentence-level contexts. In classical literary research, lexicographical studies play a crucial role in enhancing textual understanding. This thesis focuses on the Divan of Harputlu Fikret Memişoğlu, prepared using the contextual index and functional dictionary methodology. It also includes information on Fikret Memişoğlu, his works, and the literary contributions of his Divan. The study is expected to offer valuable insights for future research in this field
