An analysis of the Divan of Hayri Bey

This study has been based on the concepts that have been placed in divan of Poet Hayri Bey from Harput, who had lived in the 19 th century. Although, Haci Hayri Bey who was born in Elazig was an important local Divan poet who was reflecting the features of that era such as social, political and life, there was no study has been done about his divan which is giving important information. This study topic was selected to work on for the aforementioned reason. In this research study, "Harputlu Şair Hacı Hayri Bey" analysis and textbook by Dr. M. Naci Onur, have been taken as a basis. This work includes an analysis of four sections named Islamic Philosophy (Sufism), Society- Community, Human, and Nature. In this study, we think that we have presented examples of Haci Hayri Bey's literary identity, social life, political view, and economical thoughts.
