Abstract (EN)
Stress is defined as action and reaction of an individual to adapt against any physical or psychological stimulus. This stimulus may be a negative situation such as a physical injury, being in love or an extremely positive successful event. Job satisfaction became a reality when the properties of the work comply with employees wishes and determine the satisfaction of employees. Intention to quit is defined as active and destructive actions when the employees are unsatisfied in their work.In this study; effect on job satisfaction and intention to quit of stress of nurses working at hospitals was evaluated with demographic aspects. Survey method was used when collecting the data. Data analysis was performed using SPSS program. When evaluating of data, correlation and regression analysis, analysis of variance was used. As volunteer of nurses, working at Süreyyapaşa Chest Disease and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital, in the sample from 243 to 175 participated in the survey. There are negative effects of stress on job satisfaction and positive effects of stress on leaving job.Key Words: Stress, Job satisfaction, Intention to quit, Stress of nurses
