Service training in nursing: Nazilli State Hospital sample

In this study individual and institutional dimensions of in-service-training were investigated. It has been stated the positive effects of in-service-training on employees and organizations. Rapid development of working conditions and inreasing of specialization have made compulsory to grow sophisticated and competent people. With the increasing importance of professionalism in business life ,the necessity of in-service-training is started to be understood. In the first part of this study it is focused on working in-service-training in nursery , introduction of nursing services , its departments and especially the need of in-service-training for intensive care nursing. In the second part , it is explained the education and in-service training with overall study and it is put forward some information about the need of in-service training in each area of business life. In the third part , the survey is discussed with its results. The sudy was carried out with Nazilli State Hospital employees. In the methods of study , it was utilized with descriptive statistical . It has been tried to reach the the demographic and professionel characteristics of participants , the training activities in the institutions they work , in-service-training organized in the institution and the positive -negative attitudes towards these trainings. As a reult of research, it has been found out that the employees have positive angle of view in-service-training. It was observed that while the nurses who have less than a year in their professions need more in-service training carried out at institutions , nurses working for many years generally need much more in-service training than the others.
