Abstract (EN)
People have created objects of natural materials such as stones, wood and clay that they found around it with the motive to create since their existence. They used their thoughts and expressions as a concrete expression tool by shaping these materials with the help of chipped primitive forms. After the Paleolithic Age, where the first sculptures were formed, the first metal mine discovered as an alternative to the other natural materials was copper. Metallurgy has emerged from the interaction of raw copper with fire and it is seen that the new properties of copper have been discovered and the possibility of producing more useful objects has been attained. This development process in the art of mining continues with the melting of the metals together with the foundry, and the use of bronze from the copper - tin alloy. As the possibilities of the use of this new strong alloy grow, it has been kept in most areas of life in civilizations. Bronze is often used in the construction of religious-themed sculptures as solid castings, as well as pots and defense tools used in the Bronze Age. Small-scale som figurines produced up to Ancient Greece reach the final phase of bronze sculpture, with its real-size, hollow and more detailed structure. Bronze casting has maintained the foundation of the classical method that was first applied since ancient times. After the industrial revolution, on the basis of advancing technological developments, modern bronze sculpture casting technique and the development of the methods in the art of sculpture continues to be indispensable.
