Abstract (EN)
Objective: This research aims to reveal in which trimesters pregnant women have more intense sleep problems, whether these problems create any restrictions on pregnant women's daily activities and what factors affect their sleep quality. Another aim is to compare the results of the pregnant women who are considered as the study group, for these purposes and whether the results given by the control group are the same. Materials and Methods: Ethics committee approval was obtained with the decision numbered 3739 of the meeting dated 01/04/2022 and numbered 151 of Necmettin Erbakan University Non-Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Research Ethics Committee. The sample of the thesis was determined immediately after the approval of the Ethics Committee, and a questionnaire, which was a data collection tool, was given to the pregnant women who applied to the Meram Medical Faculty Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic as the study group. The patients whose treatments were completed were given a questionnaire and the rest of the questionnaire was asked to be given to the bed partners or roommates selected as the control group. The returned questionnaires were evaluated and statistical analyzes and measurements were made using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. Obtained result were compared. Results: Depending on the statistical analyzes based on a wide variety of variables, sleep quality of pregnant women as it has been determined is disrupted in the third trimester. Sleep-disrupting situations are the most common causes, and that there is not a very high decrease in the activities of pregnant women in their daily activities. Conclusion: As a result of the statistical analyzes for the sleep quality of the pregnant women and the measurements according to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, it was concluded that the sleep quality of the pregnant women was highly poor.
