Abstract (EN)

This thesis was conducted to determine the insect species, their infestation rates and their densities in wheat samples taken from growers stores in Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Uşak provinces in 2016-2017. As a result of the study, 29 species of 16 families belonging 5 order of Insecta, and 1 species belonging to Arachnida and a total of 30 species were identified. It was found as natural enemies 6 of species detected. Sitophilus granarius (Linnaeus) and Oryzaephilus surinamensis (Linnaeus) were the most prevalent and most abundant species in studied years respectively. The average number of insect in a sample was 14.9 in 2016, compared to 47.2 in 2017. The highest rate of damaged wheat kernel was found as 22.6% in sample collected in 2017. It wasn't detected an important difference in terms of insect density between store that applied fumigation against pests by using aluminum phosphide and store that unapplied any insecticide. As a result of this study, Anthrenus scrophulariae var. albidus (Reitter), Cryptophagus spp. (Herbst), Dienerella spp. (Reitter), Cephalonomia tarsalis (Ashmead), Haemogamasus pontiger (Berlese), Liposcelis decolor (Pearman) and Trogoderma variabile (Ballion) was firstly detected on stored wheat in Turkey.
