Abstract (EN)

There are many detailed studies about the growth of emerging economies under the leadership of foreign trade. In the studies conducted, it has been proved by many scientists that export increases growth. In addition to the fact that the increase in exports is expressed in numbers, economic scientists have recently become interested in studies that will increase the growth. In this context, BRICS countries and for determining the relationship between Turkey's export product diversification and growth based on the data covering the 1990-2018 time period, were analyzed by Dumitrus-Hurlinpanel causality test method. The variables discussed in this study are; The dependent variable is GDP per capita, growth, export diversification indexes and trade openners.According to the findings, it is concluded that the effect of BRICS country economy on the long-term economic growth will be statistically significant. As a result of the analysis, it is concluded that there is one-way causality relationship from the trade openness variable to GDP, one-way causality relationship from the GDP variable to export diversification variable and one-way causality relationship from the commercial gap variable to the export diversification variable.
