Abstract (EN)

The present study conducted out in 2017-2018 at Isparta Applied Sciences University Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Department of Field Crops. Total of 15 lines (5 progenies from GE × CE, 3 from GE × W6 and 7 from GE × MO) were selected to F8-9 generation. These lines derived from hybridization of Gelendost-2 used as female and Centennial (CE), Montola 2000 (MO) and W6 9822(W6) used as pollen donors. Standard cultivars (Gelendost-2, Montola 2000, W6 9822, Dinçer 5-18-1, Remzibey-05, Balcı, Linas and Olas) were also used along with the alove lines as plant materials. The lines and standard cultivars were planted with 3 replications in March as the randomized blocks design. In the genotypes, agronomic characteristics such as; plant height, number of branches, number of heads, head diameter, number of seeds per head, 1000 seed weight and seed yield, and quality characteristics such as; hull content, oil content, oil yield and fatty acid composition were investigated. According to the combined analysis, the year, genotype and year × genotype interactions for plant height, number of branches, table diameter, 1000 seed weight and hull content characteristics; the year and genotype for number of seeds per head, seed yield and oil content characteristics, the genotype and year × genotype interaction for head number per plant characteristics, the genotypes for harvest index and oil yield were found to be significant. 1000 seed weight, seed yield, oil content and oil yield of genotypes were varied between 30.6-42.3 g, 63.9-170.4 kg/da, 29.7-35.6 % and 22.4-52.7 kg/da, respectively. GEMO-20 had higher 1000 seed weight, GECE-8 and GEMO-20 had higher oil content, GEMO-19, 28 and GEW6-7 had higher oil yield, GEMO-28 and GEW6-7 had higher seed yield than standard cultivars. GEMO-3 had the highest oleic acid content, but the oil content, seed and oil yield showed very low performance. As a result; according to 1000 seed weight, oil content, seed and oil yield characteristics, GEMO-19, GEMO-20, GEMO-28 and GEW6-7 genotypes were identified as superior candidate lines.
