Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between conditional self-worth domains and resilience in first and last children between the ages of 18-65. In addition, it was aimed to examine the conditional self-worth and psychological resilience difference in first and last children between the ages of 18-65 according to age, gender and income level. The data in the study were obtained by using the survey method. The Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA) adapted into Turkish by Basım and Çetin (2011) was used to determine the resilience levels of the participants and in order to determine the conditional self-worth levels, The Contingencies of Self-Worth Scale (CSWS), for which Turkish reliability and validity studies were conducted by Çetin, Akın, and Eroğlu (2011), was applied. A sociodemographic data form including age, gender and income level questions was applied to the participants. SPSS 25.0 program was used for the analysis of the data. Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk normality tests were performed separately for the scales and sub-dimensions used. Since test results may be misleading, skewness and kurtosis values were checked. Independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance and tukey post-hoc test were used assuming that the variables were normally distributed. Pearson correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationship between the scales and their sub-dimensions and to determine whether the variables in the sociodemographic data form showed a significant difference according to the scale scores. As a result of the research, while a relationship was found between birth order and intrinsic conditional self-worth, no relationship was found between birth order and extrinsic conditional self-worth. While a relationship was found between psychological resilience and internal conditional self-worth, no relationship was found with external conditional self-worth interval. When psychological resilience and birth order were examined, no significant relationship was found. Keywords: Conditional Self-worth, Birth Order, Resilience
