Effect of teacher closeness behaviours on first grade students in primary scholl

In this research, it was studied that the effect of teacher closeness behaviours on first grade students? success and it was tried to determine at what level the class teachers show teacher closeness behaviour according to some independent variable.The survey was carried out to reach data of the study.The space of the research consists of 316 students who at third and fifth grade of private and state primary schools in Eyüp and Gaziosmanpaşa Districts in Istanbul.We get the statistics of surveys by the SPSS program and we find out the level of teacher closeness behaviours according to determined independent variables.Teacher has very big responsibilities in Turkish schools which has 8 years education is obligator. In this research we are trying to find out effects of teachers on students? success not only with information they give but also their level of communication skills and attitudes towards students. Because of this I hope this study will helpful for educational activities of the primary schools.Key words: teacher closeness behaviour, student success
