Abstract (EN)

2. ABSTRACT 8 WEEKS IN CHILDREN FOR THE PRIMARY SCHOOL ON THE BODY POSTURE OF THE EXERCISE PROGRAM EVALUATION OF EFFECTIVENESS In our age, the inactivity increases with the progress of the technology, and it is known that the posture disorders, which are caused by the early illnesses, are getting widespread. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of posture exercises on body posture in primary school children. The study group consisted of 461 randomly selected students at the primary and secondary school level in the Malatya province center, aged 9-13 years. Selected students were given a 45-minute workout program once a week to support body posture for 8 weeks. Postural measurements were taken from the students before and 8 weeks after exercise by scoliometer. Statistical analyzes were evaluated in the SPSS program. Since the measurements did not show a normal distribution, the Wilcoxon test was used to compare the mann-whitney test with the non-parametric test and the pre-test post-test curves for the relationship between the variables and the averages. The significance level was evaluated as p <0.05. A significant difference was found in the postural curvature scores of the students before and after exercise for eight weeks and it was observed that there was a decrease of 72.2% in the degree of this curvature (p <0.001). According to our findings, there was a significant correlation between the pre-test and post-test postural curvature ratings of the students and age, gender, and shoe number variables (p <0.001) and body mass index were not significantly different between obese students only (p> 0.05). As a result, it was concluded that postural supporting exercises have a high positive effect on the degree of curvature of the left and right sagittal plane of the spine. With this study, it was concluded that posture exercises were included in the physical education lessons which are applied once a week in primary school children, so that posture disorders that may occur in the future can be avoided in a great way.
